I'm still thrilled to have met Gordon Senior a number of years ago. Californians that have any contemporary artistic admiration need to realize what a treasure we received when Gordon and Eleanor left the U.K. to live here. The first piece of Gordon's that I took a look at hung in the C.S.U.S. gallery. I was baffled for the reason that only tool's were hanging in the gallery. All of these implements looked like something you would purchase at a hardware store. Finally I realized the tool's were the art work! Everything was extremely well made and appeared to have a function. All of the tool's had no purpose whatsoever! It made me think about consumerism and all of the useless products that we must have! I have so much more to share, but that will have to be some other time.
                                                                                                                                             Thanks' Rex
