Why do you say ‘created’? Are you implying they were born to look like they do? Had they been moved to a country like Somalia shortly after they were born, would they later have looked like this? I can’t help feeling that a lot of over-eating, or eating the wrong kinds of food, contributed to their appearance. I don’t say this unkindly, but I do think there is an optimal range for size in humans, and that when we deviant too far in one direction or another the costs we have to pay are too huge to be dismissed as ‘beautiful’.
