It seems to me that this would be a fundamental point to highlight in context to the artists included in Sweeney’s collection of artists, as well as an interesting theme to explore in the context of culture and art today. For those interested in this inquiry, I have found, “Curating Consciousness: Mysticism and the Modern Museum” (Brennan, 2010) to be very insightful.
