The Review Panel, Brooklyn Public Library, Today

A.L. Steiner reading from Derrick Jensen in her exhibition at Koenig & Clinton

Conveniently, three of this evening’s four shows are within a block of each other in Chelsea: Rashid Johnson at Hauser & Wirth; Eve Aschheim at Lori Bookstein; and A.L. Steiner, pictured, at Koenig & Clinton – worth checking in again, even if you have seen the show already, as each day Steiner will be reading different text, plus each day a new photograph is added to the installation. Be warned: to end global warming and free the masses from exploitation, and no doubt to rest her vocal chords, the artist has her gallery close its doors during her exhibition at 4pm. I suggest those of a bourgeois disposition go to the High Line Hotel for leisurely tea between gallery hopping and hopping on the subway to Grand Army Plaza.
