Don’t wait until next week to get into fair mood: This year, for venue scheduling reasons, The Art Show, the ADAA’s annual outing at the Park Avenue Armory, precedes the onslaught on the piers—the other Armory. And, like years past, it’s proving to be the place for aesthetic delectation. For this reviewer it would be a hard choice to know what to take away, should one have won the lottery on the way uptown, but I think it might be the last thing I looked at, a James Bishop at Lawrence Markey in which color and space seem to have been breathed onto the page.
