On Thursday, November 19, 2009, the artist Kiki Smith will be honored at the Brooklyn Museum’s seventh annual Women in the Arts luncheon. The program begins at 11am and will feature a conversation between Smith and Catherine Morris, Curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, and the topic under discussion will be Smith’s upcoming major installation, Kiki Smith: Sojourn, opening at the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art on February 5, 2010. Smith had her first major New York exhibition in 1988, and has had more than 150 solo exhibitions to date. She has worked in a wide array of media for over three decades including, sculpture, drawing and painting, printmaking, stained glass, and installation.
