ARTCRITICAL PICK: Art from the Heart, Curator: Katie Peyton, at Gowanus Loft

A weekend pop-up art and performance extravaganza, part of the Gowanus Open Studio weekend, Art from the Heart is the latest in the annual series from the creative agency and artist cooperative The Vanderbilt Republic, curated this year by Katie Peyton of Underground Projects.  Exhibiting artist Samantha Cohen says of her work: “Color, or lack of it, sets a mood, can shock or satiate, or remain even through closed eyelids.
