Riffs on Fassbinder

The chapel-like white cube within a country barn that is the Ayn Foundation’s Sagaponack, NY outpost is a perfect setting for painter Joa Baldinger, an under-the-radar modernist masquerading as a new image painter. Her obsessions with classic sixties movies surfaces in her riffs on details culled from Fassbinder.
